Oh man! Is it so hard to PROOFREAD?
This sort of thing *almost* makes you wonder whether the proofreader snickered and turned a blind eye.
Or maybe they had to lay off their proofreaders and now rely only on Word’s spelling and grammar check.

Yes, exactly! Although, I admit, I did further explore the possibilities for humor in the email conversation with my writers’ group. I probably shouldn’t blab it all here, though.
